Talala consolidated its school with Oologah years ago, and the two communities have come together to support a wonderful school system.
Oologah-Talala Public Schools has a rich history marked by notable achievements, including 15 academic All-Staters, 17 National Merit Semi-Finalists, 96 State FFA Degree recipients, 27 American FFA Degree recipients, 128 OCA All-Staters, 89 individual state champions, 30 team state championships, 10 national champions, and 1 U.S. Presidential Scholar.
(Oologah Lower Elementary)
Oologah Lower Elementary holds the esteemed title of an “Oklahoma A+” school, standing among seven schools statewide chosen for this honor. The district is known for its Fine Arts and athletic programs, with a history that includes the most successful Class 3A football program in the state during the 1990s — Class 3A State Champions in 1997 and 1998, plus two Class 3A state runner-up finishes. The Oologah Jazz Band has also claimed a State Champions title.
