Driving records
The Talala Municipal Court understands that many drivers are concerned about the implications a traffic ticket may have on their driving record and the potential for points assessed.
The only way to request a modification, “leniency,” or reduction of potential points is to come to court. We suggest arriving 30 minutes early to discuss your case with the Prosecutor. The Prosecutor will want to see your driving record before making any recommendations, so we highly suggest you have it printed and available for your court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) can be obtained online from the Service Oklahoma website.
Entering a plea
Not Guilty
If you are disputing a citation, you must appear in court on your given court date.
Guilty or Nolo Contendere
You are not required to come to court if you pay your fine in full prior to your court date. Tickets paid prior to the court date are automatically entered as Guilty or Nolo Contendere (no contest). Once payment is processed, you will not be on the court docket to discuss your citation.
